The school has made excellent use of AR as a resource for our Y4-7 pupils over the past few years. Teachers use it as a tool to develop pupils’ reading and comprehension skills, to foster a love of reading, to track progress and to celebrate achievements. Staff have also received a substantial amount of training in AR and sharing of good practice from Renaissance, the providers of AR. As Communication Leader, I have also received tailored training in leading the programme. I wish to thank Friends Of The Model and Mrs Jamison and Governors for their past financial contributions towards AR to enable all of this to happen.
During this time of Covid-19, I trust that you have found AR to be a valuable resource to assist with Home Learning, both through the reading materials provided in books and online texts. Thank you for the part that you are playing in this vital part of education.
I am pleased to announce that I have negotiated our new AR Subscription for 2020-21 at a cost of £1604.40 with Renaissance. This ensures that AR will continue for our Y4-7 pupils in September and they will be able to continue further on their reading journey once again.
