The children in Year One have been very busy this week. They have been covering a wide variety of activities. They have enjoyed Mathematics and Numeracy activities linked to the farm topic. They have been writing using new digraphs as well as a bubble map. High frequency words have been revised and used in writing. In RE they enjoyed the story of “Jonah and the whale.” They linked this story to the PDMU Theme of obedience. As part of world around us we looked at different farm animals and the food they produce. Then the children thought about the importance of caring for pets they might have at home.
