Miss Mulholland’s Class- weekly update 15th June 202015 June 2020 (by Class Teacher (teacher)) |
Yet another busy week for 5AM! We were revising our spelling words ending in ‘ive’, ‘able’ and ‘ible’, learning to use apostrophes and all about capacity! Also, we learned about palm oil and went on a rainforest walk, taking a virtual tour and listening to rainforest sounds. Then we noted down on a bubble map as many adjectives as possible, using a thesaurus to find ambitious synonyms. With the help of our bubble map and our senses hand, we wrote a setting description of the rainforest. In addition, we completed our weekly AR quizzes and tasks set on Mathletics to earn house points. Furthermore, we learned why rainforests are so important and made a PowerPoint. In art, we created a 3D rainforest triarama. Also, we learned some ways that together we can take care of the earth, practised our listening skills using different games, made rainforest animal sounds using everyday objects and we practised our best five events and took part in the Virtual Sports Day on Saturday. What a busy week!
