Supervised Learning - Monday 18th - Friday 22nd January13 January 2021 (by J Jamison (kjamison)) |
Dear Parent
DE guidance is that all schools should be open to provide supervised learning for Key Worker and Vulnerable children in addition to continuing to provide remote learning to all children.
Supervised learning is not extra teaching by the class teacher. It is simply where children will be in school and supervised by members of staff as they complete the tasks set by the class teacher. Unfortunately, large numbers of children are presenting each day for supervised learning, and this is placing a great pressure on school staff.
Supervised learning for Key Worker children in school is designed to allow parents to carry out work that is essential to society. When the parent is not currently engaged in this essential work then it would be reasonable to expect them to provide care for their own children while the school provides remote learning for them. Home or in the home of a relative is still the safest place for a child to be, especially as the rate of infection is very high. If you need the service provided by the school, please complete the booking form noting which days you require for the following week. This will allow us to plan staffing accordingly.
Y1-3 - 9-2pm
Y4-7 9-3pm
Pupils will wear school uniform and bring their school bag and water bottle to school as normal.
Pupils will bring a break and packed lunch to school each day.
Please complete a separate form for each child.
The form will close on Thursday 14th January at 9pm.
Many thanks
Mrs Jamison
