Term 2a World Around Us Highlights
Helping Hands was the Year One topic for Term 2a. Pupils had the opportunity to to learn about different professions. They thought about tools and vehicles people need to do certain jobs. Children thought about what they might want to be when they grow up. It was really exciting to observe what happened to an ice hand when it was removed from the freezer. Being scientists was great fun, as children carried out a waterproofing experiment. The snow was a highlight of the winter weather. During Bird Week children counted the number of birds spotted in their garden.
