Mrs Thom’s class have enjoyed lots of activities linked to their “Impact” topic.
Year 5 have been having lots of fun learning about the rainforest as part of their "Impact" topic. We have been learning all about the different animals and tribes that live in the rainforest. We have also been looking at how our actions have affected the rainforest through deforestation. We all wrote a persuasive letter highlighting the effects of deforestation and what we can do to protect the rainforest. We have enjoyed making a rainforest in a box as well as looking at famous artists work such as Henri Rousseau who were inspired by the animals of the rainforest. We also enjoyed meeting some animals that can be found in the rainforest when we had a visit from "Casey's Creatures".
