Through our topic of ‘Hey, Hey look at me’ Mr McLean’s class have completed a variety of activities. We started off our topic with our KWL board, discussing what we already knew about the topic and created questions for what we would like to find out.
We linked our topic to our literacy and took full advantage of our wonderful school grounds, completing a scavenger hunt. We found and recorded different parts of our bodies, we carried out a fun and exciting experiment to understand how our hearts pump blood around our bodies. In class we have been talking about rainbows/patterns and thought it would be great to carry out a skittle experiment to see what patterns we could make. Finally, we completed a sensory walk around our school listening to all the different sounds and recording them.
In Year 2 we have thoroughly enjoying our topic and love to learn through interactive activities that are meaningful to us!
