Throughout Term 1A, Miss McCrudden’s Year 2 class have been learning so much through our topic ‘Hey, Hey, Look at me!’ in World Around Us.
We explored our senses by going on senses and then a listening walk also! We investigated the different things in our school we could see, hear, touch, smell, and also chatted about the different tastes of school dinners!
We also carried out some fun investigations! One about how our heart pumps blood around our bodies. The children loved this experiment and enjoyed investigating it during play also. We also carried out a skittles experiment where we put skittles in a pattern and investigated what happened to the colour when we added warm water. We have been super scientists!
Finally, we also went on a scavenger hunt around our school grounds to look for photos of body parts that were hidden! This helped us to revisit the names of our body parts in a fun and active way!
