Ballymoney Model Integrated Primary School

In the area of World Around Us Mrs Carson’s class were learning all about changing seasons, all about apples, real and artificial plants and there was even time for a minibeast hunt. Now that Winter has arrived Year One pupils are really hoping for snow, but in the meantime they had to settle for making snow globes. They also found out lots about apples, where they grow, how they are harvested and how they get to the shops. Children looked at real and artificial plants. We thought about real and artificial Christmas trees.  During outdoor play children loved the opportunity to go hunting for minibeasts.
