In Year 2, it can sometimes be tricky to understand vowels. That’s not the case for us. First, we learnt what letters are vowels by using a box and a teddy. The position of the teddy was the vowel. At the box [A], the edge of the box [E], in the box [I], over the box [O], and under the box [U]. Then we took a hands on approach sorting our owls into their correct trees. It’s easy when we know how.
