Year 7 Trip to Woodhall4 February 2022 (by Class Teacher (teacher)) |
Year 7 had a wonderful time yesterday at Woodhall Outdoor Education Centre!
Pupils had the opportunity to conquer their fear of heights by taking part in an exhilarating high ropes challenge! Afterwards, Year 7 learned about the features of a bow and arrow and developed their skills in archery, with some even hitting the bullseye with amazing accuracy! Next, the pupils foraged for natural, dry materials in order to create their own fire and then toasted delicious marshmallows, which were accompanied with some tasty hot chocolate! The pupils really enjoyed learning about how to live in the wilderness. After some lunch, the pupils were taken to the River Bann, where they had the opportunity to go canoeing! The Year 7 pupils worked together as a team to successfully row their canoes and took part in some mini races! The pupils then returned to Woodhall to reflect on the day they had and thanked all of the hardworking instructors for all of the fun they experienced.
This was a fantastic day that was enjoyed by all, with many pupils proud of what they accomplished.
