Connected Learning in Year 1.
Miss Hemphill’s class have been enjoying the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar as part of our topic Yummy Yummy. We have incorporated the story into many ares of our learning. In Language and Literacy we can sequence and retell the story. We can use a bubble map to write about the caterpillar. In Mathematics and Numeracy we have made repeating patterns on the caterpillar. As part of our Physical Development we enjoyed a Cosmic Yoga, stretching and moving to depict different parts of the story. We enjoy thematic learning in Year 1.
