What joy we had today in class during our literacy lesson. We had the opportunity to meet the one and only Julia Donaldson. We have so many of Julia’s books, that we throughly enjoy reading in class and at home. Julia is a fantastic writer!
We listened to her live event on ‘A Pocketful of Songs’. We also joined in throughout, singing songs, tapping along to the music and finding all those rhyming words that we have been learning about in class. After the event we worked in pairs to come up with our own songs and presented them to the rest of the class. Even Mr McLean and Mrs Campbell made up their own songs too. Well done Year 2! What a fantastic literacy lesson.
