The pupils of 7TS had lots of fun celebrating World Book Day! After learning about the history of World Book Day and talking about the benefits of reading, we played a fun game that required us to guess the name of well-known books by looking at pictorial clues. Afterwards, we wrote informative book reviews about our favourite fiction or non-fiction book. Later that day, we connected to a live, online webinar hosted by American author and illustrator Amy Kim Kibuishi, who taught us how to draw manga-style artwork that is a feature of many graphic novels. We have also been listening to special World Book Day 10 minute story sharing videos on a daily basis featuring guest readers, such as Michael Morpurgo! Additionally, we are continuing to read our class novel for this term, Kaspar Prince of Cats.
