Ballymoney Model Integrated Primary School

This week Year 7 were given the task of creating some ‘Resilience Dens’ using natural materials that found in the forest. We proceeded to the forest area and the children were divided into two groups. Year 7 carefully planned, sourced materials and constructed super resilience dens. 7LK carried exceptional teamwork throughout. The concept for team 1’s den was sensory area where everybody was welcome to come and experience a calming environment. Team 2 created a secure area that’s main purpose was protect everyone that entered and to repel hurtful words. It’s fantastic to see how far the children have come on our resilience journey.
