This week in mathematics, we have been learning about fractions. Today, we did some fraction problem solving. We had to design a fraction robot! Miss Mulholland gave us some unit and non-unit fractions and we had to colour each fraction of the robot a different colour. However, we had to find out how many squares in area the robot needed to be first. We did this by finding the lowest common denominator of the fractions or the common denominator. After that, we found the fractions of the amount and coloured in the equivalent number of squares.
