Throughout last week, we solved problems and investigated, for example the relationship between shapes' sides and lines of symmetry! We discovered that some shapes have the same number of lines of symmetry as sides; however, some do not. The shapes that have the same number of lines of symmetry as number of sides are regular shapes. Regular shapes have equal sides and equal angles. Shapes that do not have the same number of lines of symmetry as sides are irregular and do not have equal sides or angles.
