Y3 - 7 - E-safety and iPad Agreement7 November 2019 (by ckane791) |
Use of the Internet in school is a vital part of the education of your son/daughter. Our school makes extensive use of the Internet in order to enhance their learning and provide facilities for research, collaboration and communication.
Access to the Internet will enable pupils to explore and make appropriate use of many web sites that are of enormous educational benefit. However, you will be aware that the Internet is host to a great many illegal and inappropriate websites, and as such we will ensure as far as possible that your child is unable to access sites such as this. Pupils are offered supervised access to a filtered Internet service.
We are very fortunate to have a class set of iPads within our school. This is a great resource that also adds to your child’s learning experience in school; however, it is important that these devices are used in the correct manner.
It is important that both parents and pupils are familiar with our online safety and iPad rules and agree to follow these rules within school. We ask that you read over, discuss and sign these agreements with your child. In this way, all children will abide by the same rules, regulations and policies put in place to keep them, and all equipment out of harm’s way.
Please return these forms to school as soon as possible.
