Instructional Writing Term 1 Year 5.
The Early Einsteins explained and demonstrated to all three Year 5 classes how to make the "Magic fizzy potion" to add to make George's Marvellous Medicine!
All pupils in Year 5 in term 1B have used writing Flow maps to sequence the main three stages to summarize the main steps, followed by completing writing a detailed set of written instructions, which pupils self assessed and checked using Success Criteria for the writing Genre of Instructional Writing this term.
The writing instructions integrated with developing Using Communication skills within Year 5 World Around Us topic "Mighty Machines," in term 1.
