Place Value mental maths strategies
Mrs Murphy's class have had great fun working together to find different mental maths strategies of subtracting back quickly form 4 digit numbers to end with an answer of zero.The children worked together in pairs and shared how they had worked out their different answers. Year 5 have enjoyed implementing the newly purchased school Collins Busy Ants Mathematics & Numeracy scheme and trying out different practical activities this year.
