As part of Science Week, the pupils of 6TS took part in a very interesting scientific observation.
The pupils learned about the plight of the people of Turkana, Kenya, with a particular focus on their lack of access to water. The pupils then shared their thoughts and opinions about the dangers associated with contaminated water. Afterwards, the pupils worked collaboratively to observe samples of bottled water in class. They had to use their observational skills to grade the water, from ‘Clean’ to ‘Very Dirty’. This was a very emotive and thought-provoking science lesson, which resulted in the pupils feeling very thankful for having access to clean, drinkable water.
