Ballymoney Model Integrated Primary School

Considering the information given by from the Government on Monday evening I believe it would be best to take a School Development Day (staff only, no pupils) on Wednesday 18th March. This will allow teachers time to put together a work schedule for their pupils for when schools close or if parents chose to self-isolate their child/ren at home.

Initially I had planned to take the School Development Day next week to give parents more notice and time to put arrangements in place but listening to the current news reports I am concerned that schools might close prior to this. Please note I would have most definitely preferred to have been able to give parents more notice of this but we are working in a very difficult, stressful and worrying situation which is changing all the time.

Within school we will continue to endeavour to do our best for our pupils now and the weeks ahead.
